Blurb:

Every girl has that guy. He's that guy that turned her world upside down just by existing. He's the guy she never forgets, no matter what happens in her life. She will fall in and out of love, but still he holds a place in her heart and soul. But can reality ever be better than the fantasy?

Nico is that guy for Holly, the guy she fell for the very first time she laid eyes on him. It didn't matter that she was too young to know what love was. She just knew. But that's the thing about crushes, about love... sometimes they go unrequited. And what happens if you find out that the fantasy was just that, a fantasy? Some things are better left unexplored. Are her feelings for Nico one of those things?

Eclipsed is a story about second chances...

Kim Deister is a former US Army soldier who traded camouflage and combat boots for the more comfortable uniform of a writer. She is a sever bookaholic who has been known to read cereal boxes in desperation. She's wanted to write for as long as she can remember, but it was always something to do "someday." Eventually, her husband got sick of listening to her talk about it and told her to get to it. She listened.

She is from the wilds of the northernmost part of New York, the small college town of Potsdam. These days she lives in paradise, in the Hawaiian Islands. She is happily married to the man of her dreams, a soldier who looks great in camouflage. They have four sons.

The words barely left my lips before Nico drove his hands into my hair and pulled me to him. He brushed his lips against mine and paused for one brief, delicious moment. I knew in that instant that what I felt was far from some school girl crush. His lips were soft and warm on mine, gentle and sweet like the first kiss of the teenagers we once were. But we weren’t teenagers anymore and when he pulled back to look at me, I saw the smoky heat in his eyes. I heard it in the huskiness of his voice when he whispered my name.

“Holly…”

My eyes drank him in as he sat facing me. The green Henley he wore matched his eyes and clung to his chest in all the right places. He braced himself with one hand on the back of the couch, leaning toward me. His muscles bulged under the snug shirt, hard under my hand. He still had drummer’s arms, strong hands. I felt the heat of his hand even through my jeans as he rested it on my thigh.

For so long, I’d dreamed of this moment, of kissing Nico. But I never really believed it would happen. Until tonight, he had never seen me beyond the awkward girl I had once been, the girl that had driven him nuts with her stupid crush. I wasn’t that girl anymore. I hadn’t been for a long time and he finally noticed. I had wanted this for so long, longer than I had been willing to admit even to myself. But it was happening and I was greedy. One kiss wasn’t enough. One kiss was never going to be enough.
